A fluffy goodness - sponge cake is a delight enjoyed by kids and even the older ones! Get to know the process of making a vanilla sponge cake at home here.
1 cup salt
3 tbsp butter
3 tbsp oil
½ cup powdered Madhur Sugar
¾ cup condensed milk
1 cup milk
1 ½ tsp vinegar
1 ½ tsp vanilla essence
1 ½ cup maida (refined flour)
½ tsp baking Soda
1 ½ baking powder
Melted butter for greasing
Maida for dusting
For Garnishing (optional)
Chocolate/strawberry syrup

Take melted butter and add Madhur Sugar to it.
Add condensed milk, vanilla essence and vinegar and stir it continuously.
Add milk and mix well. Set the mixture aside.
Take maida and add baking soda and baking powder. Sieve these ingredients to remove any lumps.
Add the milk mixture to the flour and mix well. Make sure the batter has no lumps.
Grease a baking tray with butter and dust some plain flour inside it.
Put a piece of butter paper on the base and grease it.
Pour the cake batter into the tray.
Sprinkle salt at the base of a pressure cooker and place a utensil stand inside it.
Place the cake tray on the stand and cover the pressure cooker. Let the cake batter cook for 25 minutes.
Now remove the tray from the cooker and unmould the cake.
Garnish the cake (optional) or cut a piece and serve it hot!
