Kaju Katli

Celebrations and Kaju Katli are a combination made in heaven. Learn how to make this quintessential Indian sweet at the comfort of your home.

  • 2 cups cashew nuts, blended
  • 1 cup Madhur Sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ tbsp cardamom (Elaichi) powder
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • Silver leaf (Vark) (Optional)

  • Add 1 cup of Madhur Sugar and water in a pan and heat it. Stir well.
  • Add cardamom (Elaichi) powder to the sugar water and stir.
  • Add the blended cashew nuts to the sugar water and mix well.
  • Cook it till the mixture leaves the sides of the pan.
  • Now add ghee to the mixture and mix well.
  • Take a piece of butter paper and grease it with ghee.
  • Transfer the cashew dough onto the butter paper.
  • Cover the dough with another greased butter paper.
  • Press the dough to form a uniform layer.
  • Roll it with a rolling pin.
  • Using a cutter, cut the dough into a diamond shape.
  • Decorate the katli with silver leaf (vark) and serve it!
