Apple Tart

Pastry:
1¼ cups flour
1 tsp salt
½ cup butter
1 cup Cheddar cheese, shredded
¼ cup ice water
Ingredients - Filling:
½ cup powdered milk
⅓ cup brown sugar
½ cup Madhur refined sugar
⅓ cup flour, sifted
¼ tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp nutmeg
¼ cup butter
6 cups golden apple, peeled and sliced
2 tbsp lemon juice

Preheat the oven to 230ºC.
For the pastry, mix the flour and salt.
Cut in the butter until crumbly. Add the cheese.
Sprinkle water over the mixture and shape into a ball.
Roll the pastry into a 15-inch circle on the floured surface
Place on an ungreased baking sheet and turn up the edge.
For filling, combine the powdered milk, Madhur refined sugar, flour, salt, and spices.
Sprinkle half of this mixture over the pastry.
Cut the butter into the remaining half until crumbly and reserve the mixture.
Arrange the apple slices, overlapping them, in circles on the crust.
Sprinkle with lemon juice and the reserved crumbs.
Bake for 30 minutes or until the apples are tender. Serve warm.
